Thankyou for your reply.
My external hard drive was working fine until a friend borrowed it. She claims that it was working fine then the next time she used it the light was not lighting up at all. Now her laptop as well as mine does not read the hard drive at all.
I have restarted the laptop, but it still did not read the external hard drive.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
