HI,
Actually I think you do not need PC Suit to transfer the files or connect COmport modem, when you connect your phone via a USB cabel, there are almost four different options including Masstorage, webcam, comPort and i dont remember other, if these are not shown at your mobile try to turn off your mobile and then on, and then connect it to computer, dont try to connect it from PC Suit, just simple direct connect via USB cable.
If still not working then might be your phone is not the original copy of E71.
