Help me with my game...

i have a problem regarding my games- the age of empires 3 (asian dynasties, the warchiefs).when i try to play them , the computer tells me that u require a graphics video card. i dont know what the hell this is and how much does it cost..please tell me what can i do... tell me something about this card ...
