WIFI PROBLEM

Hello,
I have a laptop with a wifi card in it i can get on the internet at my house but sometimes i travel and take my laptop with me and for some reason i cant get on the internet i find access points and when i open the browser it get me the cant access the internet at hotels i get access key but dont work n when i get home i get on the internet wireless with no problem anybody have a sugestion on hot to fix it thanks
