Hello,
      i have a acer labtop and it doesnt have sound when i play my dvd, but it works fine with cd.
     Wat should i do?

you must install codecs 

download vlc and codecs from link below:

https://ccm.net/downloads/video/4557-vlc-media-player/
https://ccm.net/download/download-1524-codec-pack-all-in-one
