Auido disinabled

Hello,
ok mine is a little diffrent it only happens when i use windows media player or vlc player as soon as i use them i have a little red cross next to my volume icon and a message saying my audio has been disinabled. and i can only get it working again when i close the programs and right click on the icon and save but it will not let me do this when im using vlc and windows media player. can any one help me please im getting sick of it now my laptop is a dell and i have vista if that helps in any way.

Hi there,

Open run by pressing start+ r on keyboard,then type msconfig in dialog box.Management console will open. Select normal start up on general tab,prress on apply and then ok.
