Hello,

I did an destructive system recovery in windows xp by mistake. Is there anyway to restore lost files. I have done a regular system recovery in the past and was able to find all my old docs / pics/. files etc. After the destructive recovery I can't find the compaq userI found before( the one with the number sequence) in the regular recovery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Sir,

You won't be able to get the files. There are files that get deleted when

you carry out a system restore. The solution to it is making a back up using

the system tools itself. This is important for while the system restores there

is great possibility that you lose your files. Hope that the information provided

proves useful.
