Do you want to re-install Windows. Formatting a hard disk erases all information and prepares it to act as a storage device. Some late model PC's come with a hidden partition on the hard disk that contains a copy of the Windows disk. If you want to restore your PC to factory default condition you must give us more information on the make and model of computer.
