1. Have internet connection available (not necessary) ... than click start button.
2. Chose "device and printers".
3. Click "add printer" in upper title bar.
4. If printer is hard wired to a device ... chose "add local printer" follow direction and chose your printer. The OS will detect what drivers let the drivers and other software to be installed.
5. If the printer is wireless click "add network wireless ... " On the next page ... stop the scan ... click button labeled "printer is not on the list".
6. Select radio button that says " Add a printer using TCP/IP ..." click next.
7. Enter the ip address of the printer. Keep drop down box set to "auto detect" , as well as "query the printer ... " check box selected. Click next.
9. Again the OS will detect what drivers to install
10. Wait till the drivers and other software is installed.
Do a final print test after either operation has installed the printer.
