Iphone 3GS wont connect to routerClosed

Hello,
 I have a Iphone 3GS and a linksys WRT54G, it is a secured network.  The Iphone recognises the network, but after entering the password it comes back and says it cannot join.  Can anyone help.

Hi- we found we have to enter our phone details (settings>about>wi-fi address) into the 'safe user's list of our home wifi before it would allow us to access it via the password. Give that a try first.
