N96 write protection removing

Hello,
I have nokia 96 mobile I cannt format it or deleting any file because it shows : ( cannt be deleted it is write protected )
please help me removing the problem

Dear Sir,

Are the files that you are trying to delete actually stored on a memory card or the phone memory directly?
