Hi, really hoping that you can help. My daughter has a 2002 toshiba lap top, vista, really running slow. I know it is an older model, but still a great computer for her. Wants to go back to factory settings. F8 does not give her the option of restore, please, any advise appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back in 2002 they probably didn't have the factory restore option from a hidden Hard drive partition. You might need to re-install Windows from the CD. Did it even come with a CD? Before you do that you will need to download the hardware drivers from Toshiba and copy then to a CD so that you can install them after Windows.
