Have an HP HDX16 series laptop, with an HDMI port and a 26" Westinghouse TV earlier I was able to connect an HDMI cable from my laptop to TV and get both the audio and video to show up.
The last time I tried for some reason it suddenly did not work, when I plug the cable the laptop recognizes that an external TV is connected by a beep that you hear in Vista indicating a device is connected. My TV also recognizes that an HDMI source has been connected and after trying for about 10 seconds fails to find any signal and says source not detected.
I have a brand new HDMI cable (I ordered an extra thinking that was the problem plus I needed an extra) so the cable is not the problem, I connected my Digital Camera that has an HDMI output to the same port and it detects and has no problem can anybody tell me what is the issue and how can I solve it.
I wouldn't be surprised there is some small setting that I might have missed out appreciate the help
