500mhz instead of 2.2ghz

Hello,

i have actually an intel core 2 duo e4500 which is supposed to be running at 2.2ghz but when i right click on my computer and in the properties options it shows only 500mhz is it normal?

well it could be a mistake in programming anyways if you want to make sure
go to start menu>run>then write dxdiag and make sure that you are in the adminstrator account then press on the ok button
a message box may appear click on yes then a form will open that contains all of your system info
search for the processor and see what's it value if it wsz 500mghz then you have a prob in the windows or in the cpu then all you have to do is to download the program "CPU-Z" and use it to find out it's info if it was also 500 mghz then it's an error from the cpu and then you'll have to go and return your comp cause they have tricked you !!!
