Hello,
I have an older Dell desktop and the onboard video does not work- no output to my monitor. I bought a usb/dvi adapter - but I can install the drivers because I can get video - the classic chicken and egg question? I would suppose I would have the problem if i put in a pci video card.

Any solutions?

Thanks!

When you put in a new video card it should boot using the standard VGA driver. If it doesn't you can use F8 to boot into "safe mode" which will use the default standard VGA driver.

Good Luck
