Hello,
My name is Bolbum Choudhary & i have purchased laptop Compaq Precerio cq40-327tu, I bought this laptop March 09. Now my laptop operating System Windows Vista Home Edition, I format this operating system lots of time, couple of days i use Window 7 guine edition, also. but now i wanted Windows XP SP 2, but if i format this XP does not support, but Vista or window 7 are supported. When I was boot XP SP 2, Computer show me some hardware error, means no hard disk detected in XP, if i was boot Vista & window 7 no problem at all. please send me how i can solve out this problem.

Hi there,
This is not a problem,you are having this as all new computers/laptops are using sata hard drive thus you need to disable it in bios then proceed with xp installation,follow instructions on link below:
