Pls help me

Hello,

I am attempting to copy data off a Dell laptop hard dirve that I have removed and connected via a usb adapter to another pc. I want to pull the data off a user's folder under documents and settings in win xp pro. When I try to open the folder (Elizabeth) acces is denied my documents in not accessible. I do know that shes has a windows log on password. The laptop is dead and I want to recover her files to copy to another machine.
Suggestions.

hey there,

if its protected datas then that will be a bit difficult for you to get it i would recommend that you make the hdd bootable from the bios an then repair the windows on it and once done just try to logon to her acount this is a bit more easy than to try to get back the data directly
