Enable wlan in windows7

Hello,
I brought satellite l510 few months back. I was using winxp where i had no problem with wlan. Now since I have upgraded to windows 7 the shortcut key to turn on the wlan fn+f8 that was working well in previous version doesn't work at all. the drivers for the wlan card is installed and on checking with troubleshoter it says that wlan is disabled...enable with ur shortcut key or switch in front. There is no switch as theonly way to turn on the wlan was with fn+f8 key. I am in trouble please help.
