Resolution ,color quality poor after install

Hello,
i just formatted my system {WIN XP} the installation was fine but now the Display is all messed up
The screen resolution is at the lowest and wont change
the color quality is also at the lowest at only$bit and it too wont change
do i need to download some drivers

YES, you need to install the video driver for the video video card. You are currently using the Standard VGA video driver that comes with Windows.
