some time ago I installed a CD-R/RW burner disc drive in my desktop PC. When I boot up the PC, the drive is recognized. But when I do a Restart, it's not recognized. Can anyone tell what's wrong?

Thanks.

There may be many cause for this error.

1. Your CD drive is disabled from device manager. To enable it wright click on computer click manage --->Device manager---->Click on device manager--->u will see Ur CD drive---> right on it----> properties---->click on driver tab---->Click on enable button.

2. Unplug the device from the mother board and re plug it. May be wire ports are loosed!!!

3. The driver file may be deleted by some funky antivirus software. Download the driver again from internet.

4. Data cable of CD drive may damaged. Change it!!!
