Hi there,
If there is no guarantee on it,open device and remove the battery and let it for few hours or short circuit it.if you have a multimeter check the voltage available in the attery as it may be also the battery which is not retaining power given to it otr if not sure get to an electronic technician and let hom fox this for you.
