Macro to find/replace in notepad

I am in need of editing a text file in notepad that was created via a macro in excel. I have created the code to open the file in notepad but was wondering if there is code that will allow me to find/replace in notepad from the excel macro. Sounds ridiculous, but I am trying to overcome the special character issues with exporting a csv file.

Indirectly. What you could do is via macro open the file and read the file and replace what ever needs to be replace and write it back to a new file.
