Mp3 player help

Hello, wen i plug my Mp3 in the computer a sign comed saying ' that the usb device connected to the computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it'. I am not sure how to deal with this. The computer does not recognise the Mp3 player

Hi there,

Shut down pc,plug mp3 in usb port and start machine ,it will be detected.
