Can I play assassin's creed2 in XP

I recently bought the dvd of assassins creed 2 nd I installed it but I cant play it in windows xp!!!!
would anyone please help me that how can I play ac2 in XP....
If u have the answer nd wanna help me then mail it to dani.magger@gmail.com....
