PHP commenting wall

Hello,
I am trying to find the simplest way to include a PHP commenting feature into my XHTML website. I want to find the easiest way to have a basic comment wall where users can comment on my work/articles.

would th easiest way to do this be to send the data from form fields to a database?

I think Facebook.com uses the same type of comment wall u're explaining, u might try to post a demand or suggestion to them also. I love Kiokea and always try to help others in their problems but im not at all concerned by programming yet. :)
