Firefox cannot find server: Closed

Question

I can access my internet with firefox and IE, but when I try to go to any addresses with AVAST in it, it tells me that the page cannot be found. HELP, What can I do to fix this problem?

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.3
