Virus in phone

The data cable slot of my phone is broken. It is not working. Their are viruses in my phone memory. The collection folder inside applications is showing to contain 12.8 GB. it is also causing problems to the music player. What can i do..?? How should I Format my phone..???

Please have the phone restored to factory settings and hence get rid of the virus in the phone.
