Windows 7 Problem of boot.ini

Hi everyone

i am having a problem with my laptop witch is windows 7, so yesterday i tried to install a partition of windows xp in my external hard disk .. the after i restart my laptop i see this message in my windows 7 laptop HP4510 that says: Windows couldnt start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem .

couldnt read from the selected boot disk . check boot path and disk hardware

please check the windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and hardware reference manuels for additional information

i realy am in big problem , because there are some things i need to work on but i failed to access my desktop .. please i need your help
