SD card not recognized by my pc and camera

hi,
my camera fell badly on the ground and then when i tried to transfer pictures on my computer, the SD card says it needs to be reformatted but then i try inserting it again on the camera and then it says, "This card cannot be used", so i guess i have to format the card but i dnt want to lose my pictures there..what can i do to recover it?

Dear Sir,

There should be some corrupted files on it bringing up this problem and hence you will have to get it formatted for it to be able to function properly.
