Computer won't go online

Hello,
My laptop will not allow me to go online and it says on the LAN information that it is acquiring network address. My desktop connected to the same router works fine. Any ideas on what to do?

Hi there,

Please check the cable for connection,it may be loose or damaged thus taking longer than usual to connect and have the ip for it.
