DVD/CD Drive not appearing on My Computer

Hello,

I just had a problem with my DVD/CD drive because it wont appear on My Computer. Also, the DVD/CD hardware does not appear on Device Manager. Please help me... My laptop is a Sony VAIO VGN-NW270F and I'm running Windows 7. Thank you!
