Downloading flash player problem

Hello,



Repeately have tried to download flash player, as many things I want to do or see required it. Have tried multiple times by clicking on the download command and nothing happens, think computer may have had flash player at some previous time, am a novice at this and don't want to cause more computer problems that I already have.
