Im sorry I wanted this post to post in another thread that was already going which is why I wasnt so clear. I just recently purchased a macbook pro and am realizing that I can not write anything to my external hard drive due to formating diffirences. I saw some mention of a program called macfuse to format my external hard drive so that it will have both read and write abilities but I do not know if reformating my external hard drive with this program will erase what is already on it (nearly 2b of data) thank you for your help. If macfuse doesnt do the job, is there a way of doing it without erasing my external hard drive??
