Blue screen when installing xp over vista

want to install xp pro over vista ultimate, but it went down to the blue screen..

u know which blue screen right.... the one that said "if this the first time you encounter..." bla bla bla.. everytime i try, the blue screen appears.... and i did search over forums for the solutions,, and most said to change SATA to IDE? i dont kno... or disable the SATA native support in mode..

but one thing is in my bios setting, the option is not available... now what? i use compaq presario cq40-125au... pleaseeeeee i need SOLUTIONS !!!

well,, the problem is when i try to install win xp, the blue screen appears... the BSOD or blue screen of death people said....
