Hi,
May be the Sata drivers are missing. Download the sata drivers from your
manufacture website and slipstream the sata drivers into windows xp.
or
Go to BIOS and change the SATA mode to IDE or Compatible Mode.
Note : Changing the SATA mode will decrease the performance.
