I cant get to Live Messenger with ID Closed

Hello, 


I have been unable to use my ID on windows live messnger altho it works on the older versions circa 2004, even after desinstall and re-install several times. I created another id just to test, and it works, plse advise me wht s the problem and above all how to solve it. btw i am on windows xp

As new work so definitely either wrong id or password was entered,if password then reset it on link below:

https://account.live.com/resetpassword.aspx
