Hello,
When I turn on my Wifi switch it does stays red and does not come on. When I rebooted the laptop a few months ago it started working. After a few days of Windows Vista updates it quit working. Tried to go in control panel to repair it and it does not even open the file.

Roll back the updates made or uninstall and reinstall the driver for wireless device,
