No Video After Changing CPU Speed
Solved/Closed
Hello,
I have an old desktop with a AMD Duron K7 CPU at 956Mhz, I was playing around with some settings and changed the cpu speed to 133/133Mhz. After i did this the computer started up but there was no longer video on the monitor, it said no signal and the disk drives went crazy. Its not like there was time for the cpu to heat up to overheating temperatures, it was instantaneous. Is there a way to fix this or does that mean my cpu/motherboard is shot?

Hi,
Try this 1
Turn off your PC --> open the cabinet --> remove the CMOS battery
Now "Turn ON" your PC --> after few seconds again "Turn Off" your PC.
Place the CMOS battery back properly ----> Now Turn ON your PC.
If the problem still exists
Remove the RAM from the slot --->clean it and place it back properly or try
different slot.

Well the above procedure resets the changes made in bios.
You can try jumper settings. Just click on the below link and try hardware reset.
