Battery Help

Hello,
I bought the 1525 a couple of monts ago, and when I plug it in to charge, the green light comes on the battery pack, but the laptop is not being charged. I've tried taking the battery out and cleaning it, but it doesn't seem to work.
I bought it from tesco direct, should I contact them and ask for a replacement?
