How to burn!????

Hellowhen i put a blank disc in to the drive it says there isnt one in?? i just want to burn something on to a disc an i really dont no how to do it i'm so rubbish with computers. i've dragged the name of the album into the burn box an tried clicking on burn an its not lit up so i cant!! please help
