laptop boots and the screen is blankClosed

Hello, 
i have a T42 IBM thinkpad laptop, and last night i was using it and it shutoff. so i waited a day and tried turning it on. the laptop booted and the fan worked and all the blinking lights ,but the screen remained blank. what do i do?



Configuration: Windows Vista / Safari 533.4

try taking out one of the ram chips (if you have two) and of course if its out of warranty, otherwise you will void the warranty. That happened to my laptop and that fixed it instantly.
