CD DRIVE UNDETECTED

Hello,

My cd drive is not being detected at all. in my hardware manager i only have my other (dvd-rw) drive that it shows. and it doesnt show my cd-rw drive. Under OTHER DEVICES on the hardware manager. it has 1 unknown device. even when i try to update the driver to find out what it is. it cant find it. i cant even open this cd drive at all either. when i open the panel i can see that the cd drives light isnt on. i checked the cables and there all plugged in except for one called P7. but i cant find any obvious plugs for it. :(
