Hello,
last night i forgot to turn off my computer, and this morning i tried to click firefox, to just go on the internet.. but then everything wasn't coming up. so i just restarted because i thought my computer just needed to rest for a bit, but then my computer wouldn't load windows XP and it just went black and now it wont start in safe mode either. i have no idea what i did to it but i need help fixing it.

someone help me please and thank you!

i sort of have another problem though,
i have the CD in my computer and i'm trying to follow the steps that the guide is telling me to follow, but it's not giving me the option to repair. it says at the top 'the following list shows the existing partitions and unpartitioned space on this computer' blahblahblah . i dont know how to get to the screen where it asks me if i want to repair.
if you have a solution, please let me know!

You will have to repair windows ,windows installation cd is needed and for instructions please refer to Faq on link below:
