hi all,

I have an issue I don't find a solution to in spite of my researches on many forums.

I'm running Vista Enterprise and I'm working on Office files located to a Sharepoint 2.0. I'm using Office 2007 and IE7

When I open them, they need a very long time to open (~3min) and when I want to save them back to the sharepoint, the link is lost to it. Therefor I have to save it in local and upload them to the share.

The files are Office2003 files and the issue is the same with several sharepoints (2.0) and there is no issue when I'm running XP with Office2003. My colleagues who are running Vista and ussing Office2007 are facing the issue as well.

I have tried:

to disable the Addons in IE: still the same
to check if I had Office2003 already installed: NO
then repair of Office2007: still the same
to verify my permissions on the share: "Administrator"
to apply the solution provided on the topic (MSDN: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1197148&SiteID=1):
· Go to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12"
· Delete "OWSSUPP.DLL"
· "Start" -> "All Programs" -> "Microsoft Office" -> "Microsoft Office Tools" -> "Microsoft Office Diagnostics"
· Run the diagnostics and it should fix 1 issue in its last step
Issue is still the same.

I think now I need help because I don't know what I have to do.

Thanks in advance for your advises.
BR, Mx

hi

I work in Vista. If your only advise is to downgrade to XP, it is not really helpful. Anyway, I search for a solution in other side. I have a topic on MSDN and someone on the Service Desk for Microsoft is helping me as well.
I am not the only one affected here in my job and I have to check SP1 will solve the issue.

any advise, let me know.
thanks Ziggy7
