i cant use my cam i lost cd Closed

pls help me my webcam was just given to me by my mom and when i try to use it in yahoo messenger it didnt work the worst thing is i didnt even know its brand. there is a number indicated at the back for confirmation DF040313090 hope it would help pls let me know how can i use my webcam.. ty

We can't tell you anything without you telling us something.  Look for markings or any kind of branding on it.  A company wouldn't make money or keep customers if they couldn't identify their product.

That's a serial number, searched on Google.  No luck.  You need branding or something.  I promise there is some on it.  I am positive it's not completely blank my friend.
