i cant seem to find a driver for my ethernet controller on my compaq cq60 i have checked on hp website but i still cant seem to find anything any help ? ..

Try this 1.
You can download the drivers from the manufacture website.
Click on the below link and follow the instructions.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/siteHome?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us
Install the "Chipset" drivers first and then "Network" drivers.
