Can't oppen downloaded files on Vista

Hello,

Just recently started having this problem. My download load with no problem, but when it is finished and a click on it to open, it does nothing. I have the paid version of AVG, went to renew it, downloaded it...now I still can't open it...What to do? Can anyone help me???

What are the downloaded files type?music,videos,pictures? please give their extensions and more information.
