Files are not compatible

Hello,

The files that I save on my Ubuntu OS will not open on Windows OS. Please help me about the matter for I have a friend who has the same OS but he can open the files on both OS. Is there any application that I need to install to do it? Thanks in advance.

Dear Sir,

When saving the files, please change its format to the right one and hence get it saved to the format which will be compatible to both opertaing system.
