Master document, page numbers

Hello,

I am formatting my thesis, and I have put all my chapter documents in my master document. Now trying to get it to number my pages, but it seems to think that all the pages related to chapter 1 are called page 17, all my pages related to Chapter 2 are called page 54, and so on..it's just giving random page numbers to different chapters...I have tried taking the page numbers out of my individual chapters, but that does not seem to help..
Any ideas please?!
