Downloading iTunes/Quicktime problem.

Hello,
When i am trying to download iTunes, it wants to update quicktime, and it cant find the file for quicktime, therefore cancels the download and does not download either. and when i go into program files the quicktime folder is empty. This means i cant get iTunes and i cannot sync my iphone.
HELP PLEASE!:(
